We are proud to announce that the GenBioM project was represented at the 61st Croatian and 21st International Symposium on Agriculture (SA 2026), held from 31 May to 5 June 2026 on the island of Brač, Croatia. This prestigious international event, organized by the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek and the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb, brought together agricultural and life sciences experts from Croatia and beyond under the theme “Smart and Resilient Agriculture – Safety for Future Generations.”
Prof. dr. Ivan Širić and Dr. Tena Radočaj presented a poster entitled “An Integrated Morphological, Genetic, and Biochemical Approach to the Identification and Characterization of Wild Edible Mushrooms in Croatia”, showcasing the project’s innovative, multidisciplinary framework combining morphological, molecular, and biochemical methodologies for wild edible mushroom authentication and food safety assessment.

The presentation attracted significant interest from the scientific community and provided an excellent opportunity to network with international researchers working in biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture.
